SUPPLIER SPOTLIGHT: ISLE OF WIGHT TOMATOES

YOUR SUMMER SALAD BOWL JUST GOT AN UPGRADE

At atis, we’re all about powerful food. Bold flavours, vibrant ingredients and real integrity in where our food comes from. That’s why we’re proud to source our tomatoes from the team at Isle of Wight Tomatoes, a farm that does things the right way, not the easy way.

Grown just a few hours from London on the sunniest patch of the UK, Isle of Wight Tomatoes are anything but ordinary. They’ve been growing tomatoes in the rich, fertile soil of the Arreton Valley for over 15 years, using natural light, rainwater harvesting and clever climate controls to produce tomatoes that are packed with flavour and nutrition, without the need for air miles.

What makes these tomatoes so special? It starts with a deep respect for the environment. The farm uses biological pest control (think ladybirds, not chemicals), composts all plant waste and uses sustainable practices from seed to harvest. Their tomatoes ripen on the vine and are picked at peak flavour, which means they taste like tomatoes should taste: sweet, juicy and full of life.

We use these tomatoes across a range of our seasonal dishes; from bright salads to hearty grain bowls. Because when an ingredient is this good, it doesn’t need much doing to it.

But our partnership is about more than taste. We believe in supporting growers who share our values - sustainability, transparency and a genuine passion for quality. Isle of Wight Tomatoes tick every box.

So next time you dig into one of our bowls and get that burst of sweetness from a tomato, know it’s not just any tomato, it’s been grown with care, picked at its peak and travelled just the right distance to land on your fork. It’s local, it’s sustainable and it’s a little taste of summer in every bite.
